Abstract

The Udden Geology Club was founded in 1933 and is named in memory of Dr. J.A. Udden, an Augustana graduate of 1911 and later professor of biology and geology. The Udden Geology Club notebook contains lists of different club events and the members who attended each of them from 22 April 1988 to 15 May 1992.

Augustana College Valkyries records

Abstract The Valkyries was an honorary athletics society that was created for women at Augustana College in 1928. It was organized by the Augustana Girls’ Athletics Association. Membership was limited to 24 girls who had earned 150 points in athletic competitions and were elected into the group. Augustana College Women's League records

Abstract The Augustana Woman's Club (later called the Women's League) was founded in 1917. Women enrolled in any Augustana College department were eligible to join. The constitution of the club was soon amended to include women faculty members and wives of the faculty. Many of the activities organized by the club were social in nature while other activities were service-related. The Augustana Writers' Club (Also written as Writer's and Writers) was founded in 1937 by English department head Dr. Henriette C.K. Naeseth. Augustana College Y.M.C.A. War Fund records

Abstract

Many Augustana students and professors enlisted in the military during World War I. To support their friends and family, along with the cause, students and professors still at the college raised money to send to the troops. One such collection was the Y.M.C.A. War Fund. This collection consists of a list of campus donors to that fund.

Augustana Dance Company videotapes and program

Abstract

The Augustana Dance Company was formed at Augustana College by Velda Williams in spring 1983. The Augustana Dance Company videotapes and program includes original VHS videorecordings of performances and dress rehearsals, 1989-2000, and DVD preservation copies of the recordings. Also included is a program, 2000, for a joint performance of Augustana Dance Company and UNYK Multicultural Dance Troupe.

Abstract The Augustana Foreign Missionary Society was founded by students at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois in 1886. Members of the Augustana Synod had been searching for a way to involve the church in missionary work, and the founding students enthusiastically took on the task. Augustana Health Services records

Abstract

Augustana Health Services was an organization on the college campus dedicated to providing students with healthcare. AHS existed from at least 1936 until 1991, and included the services of three part-time physicians, registered nurses, and a 14-bed infirmary. They also offered student health insurance plans. This collection consists of correspondence and announcements.
